Permin Cream contains Permethrin 5% which is class of pyrethroids. It is an antiparasite drug used to treat infections caused by mites and lice and their eggs. It is mainly used in the treatment of pediculosis and scabies.
Pediculosis is the infestation of lice in the hairy parts of the body, especially the scalp.
Scabies is a skin infection caused by mites. It is contagious and spreads from one person to another with physical contact.
Patients with pediculosis and scabies experience rashes and persistent itching in the infected area, which worsens at night.
Permin Cream contains Permethrin, an antiparasitic drug. It kills the small insects (mites) and their eggs that cause scabies. It also destroys head lice, which stick to your scalp and cause irritation.
Permin Cream is exclusively for external use only. Some people may experience adverse effects such as redness, rash, burning sensation, and itching.
Do not use Permin Cream if you are allergic to Permethrin or chrysanthemums or any component present in Permin Cream. Children below six years, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor before using Permethrin. The infected area should be kept clean and dry before applying the drug.
Medicinal Use:
Permin Cream is mostly used to treat parasitic infections like Pediculosis and Scabies. It releases chemicals known as pyrethrins which act on the nervous system and paralyzes the insects, eventually killing them. It can also kill the nits and eggs of the insect.
Directions for Use
Cream/Ointment/lotion/Liquid: It is only for external use. As recommended, take a small amount of it on the fingertip and apply it as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area. Avoid contact with the nose or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. Wash your hands before and after using them if they are not the affected area to prevent the spread of infection.
Soap/shampoo: It can be used in place of regular soap/shampoo during bathing or as directed by a healthcare professional.
